MPPCS Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) exam, commonly referred to as MPPCS is conducted to recruit candidates for various administrative positions in the Madhya Pradesh government.

The recruitment process includes 3 stages -

1. Preliminary examination
2. Mains examination
3. Interview/ Personality test

MPPCS Prelims Exam Pattern
The MPPCS Prelims is a screening test used to shortlist candidates for the Mains. It includes two objective-type papers.

Paper-II (CSAT) is a qualifying paper (a minimum of 33% is required to qualify). Marks obtained in this paper are not counted in merit.

The Mains exam has a total of 6 descriptive papers for a total of 1400 marks.

• This stage of the recruitment process is crucial as marks obtained in the mains exam are considered for the final merit list.

• The interview or Personality test is the final stage of the HCS examination process.
• This stage carries 175 marks.
• Candidates' overall personality, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and general awareness are evaluated.
• The marks obtained in the interview are added to the Mains marks for the final merit ranking.
