About Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state, is historically significant and culturally rich. It is the site to the renowned... Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Varanasi, one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities and a major religious centre. The state's landscape varies from the rich plains of the Ganges River to the slopes of the Himalaya. Uttar Pradesh's economy is diverse, with agriculture being the backbone—it's the largest producer of wheat and sugarcane in India. The state bird is the Sarus Crane, while the state's official animal is the Swamp Deer. Uttar Pradesh is an important part of India's political scene, serving as a major battlefield during elections. It is also a cultural melting pot, with diverse communities and a rich tradition of arts, crafts, and classical music. The state's economy is growing rapidly, with recent initiatives focusing on infrastructure development, IT parks, and industrial corridors.
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC): The UPPSC is responsible for selecting candidates for various civil services in the state. Established in 1937, the commission is headquartered in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad) and conducts examinations for positions like Provincial Civil Services (PCS), Assistant Conservator of Forest, and Range Forest Officer.
General Information: The UPPSC examination is divided into three stages:
1.Preliminary Exam: This stage includes two papers—General Studies I and General Studies II (CSAT), both objective in nature.
2.Mains Exam: It consists of eight papers, including General Studies, Essay, and optional subjects that the candidate can choose based on their background and interests.
3.Interview: Candidates who clear the Mains are interviewed to evaluate their suitability for a career in public service.
The salary for UPPSC positions varies, with an entry-level PCS officer earning between Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500, depending on the post and experience. The UPPSC has not defined any limit on the number of attempts, but there is age limit with 21 years being the minimum age limit.
The syllabus covers a broad spectrum, including history, culture, geography, Indian polity, social issues, and current events, with a particular emphasis on Uttar Pradesh's regional issues and developments.

Programme Objectives of UPPCS Test Series:
The UPPSC Preliminary Examination is a tough one as it requires you to solve 150 questions in 2 hours, as opposed to only 100 in the Civil Services Examination of the Union Public Service Commission. Time management becomes a very important skill in this examination. The marking scheme is also tough as the negative marking is 1/3rd for every wrong answer. You need to have precision and accuracy to clear this exam. You must be well-prepared and better adjusted to the demands of this paper to crack it. Our programme aims to give you just this!
We have a scientific approach of setting our papers where syllabus is optimally divided, questions are asked on basic and application based level, and current affairs are inbuilt in the questions. A proportionate weightage is given to including difficult to easy questions based on the past year questions. This will help aspirants to understand their weaknesses and strengths. This also allows students to improve their scoring ability in the Recruitment Test.
