SPSC-CRE Prelims Exam Strategy

The SPSC-CRE Prelims exam is the 1st stage of the exam and serves as a screening test. The Prelims consist of two objective type papers.

Qualifying Paper: General English

This Paper covers Comprehension, Precis writing, Vocabulary and short essays.
  • To prepare for Essay writing, first build a strong knowledge base using static sources, Newspapers, government reports etc.
  • Practice writing essays on diverse topics related to Political, economical, environmental and social issues and general philosophical ideas.  
  • Practice essays asked in Past years papers.
  • Cover English Grammar topics from any English Grammar book.

Paper II: General Studies This paper covers Polity, Geography, Economy, History, Environment, Disaster management, Science with respect to India and Sikkim. Preparation tips
