RECENT TERROR ATTACKS FACED BY INDIA

Pahalgam attack: On 22 April 2025, India suffered a terror strike at “Baisaran Meadows” in Pahalgam, popularly called ‘mini-Switzerland,’ which claimed the lives of 26 civilians and left many others injured. The Resistance Front, a proxy group of Lashkar-e-Taiba and a banned terrorist organisation under the UAPA, claimed responsibility for the assault. In retaliation, the Cabinet Committee on Security, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, endorsed a five-point action plan targeting Pakistan.

Pathankot Airbase Attack (Jan, 2016): Around six terrorists in army attire tried to storm the base located 35 kms from the international border. The terrorists were linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), as is the case with the Uri attack.

Uri Attack: Terrorists killed 19 Army soldiers and injured 30 in a suicide attack on an Army camp in Kashmir. Four terrorists struck the camp close to the headquarter of the 12th Brigade at Uri in Baramulla District of J&K.

Pulwama attack: Suicide bombing attack by militant on convoy of vehicles carrying CRPF personnel, which led to martyrdom of of 40 CRPF soldiers
